Sand Bay

A body of artwork predominantly using encaustic with the addition of eco-printing, natural pigments, rusting and found objects from the landscape. This emotive collection of semi abstract art combines a quiet metaphorical approach to environmental issues with childhood vulnerabilities and current sensibilities.

 

With a deep rooted connection to the coast that embodies most of my childhood memories, living on the coast is my main source of inspiration. Using photography to help capture the influences I see, the vulnerabilities of the eroding sand dunes and recently plastics within the landscape.
